Guides to this shelf describe four neat tiers running from fresh to aged, with the price climbing as you go. Counted across the live listings, those tiers do not exist and the price runs the other way: the fresh label costs more than the aged one. Here is what the labels really mean.

The usual comparison of Telegram account types runs in four rungs. Fresh at about a month, monthly at one to three, half-year at around six, aged at a year and up, with stability and price both climbing as you go. This page used to carry exactly that table.
It does not survive contact with the shelf. Counted across every live Telegram listing on this site, there is no monthly bucket and no half-year bucket. They are not thin categories; they are not categories. And the price does not climb, because the label that costs the most is the one at the bottom of the imaginary ladder.
What the listings are actually labelled
The whole age vocabulary on this shelf is six labels, and they split into two kinds that behave completely differently.
- Two vague words. A "fresh" label on around one listing in five, and an "age" label on a little over a third of the shelf. Neither carries a number.
- Four dated bands. A 2026 band on a couple of dozen listings, a 2022 to 2025 band on a few dozen, a 2017 to 2021 band on a handful, and a single listing from before 2017.
Titles tell the same story. Fewer than one listing in ten mentions age in its title at all, and the mentions do not cluster into tiers. The most common phrasing appears on eight listings, the next on three, and after that they are one-offs: five to eight years, two to three and a half, three plus, eight plus. That is a scatter, not a ladder.
The vague word prices below the middle. The dated range prices above it.
This is the finding worth taking away, and it reverses the advice this page used to give.
Measured against the middle of this shelf, the plain "age" label sits below the median, around a tenth under. The "fresh" label sits well above it, roughly a quarter over. Paying extra for age here means paying extra for a word the market marks down.
Separate the word from a year and the picture flips into something sensible. The 2026 band sits at about half the median. The 2022 to 2025 band sits about a fifth above it. The 2017 to 2021 band is dearer again by a wide margin, but only a handful of listings carry it, so treat that as an observation about five listings rather than as a market rate. The market prices the number correctly and prices the adjective at nothing.
So: do not pay for "aged", "old" or "mature" with no year attached. Ask for the registration year. If none is given, the listing is telling you it has no age claim, which is exactly what an unnumbered age word means.
Why fresh can be worth more
The premium on newly registered accounts looks perverse until you ask what Telegram actually restricts, which is the number rather than the account. Limits on writing to strangers, reports and blocks attach to the phone number that registered, and they outlive deleting the account and starting again on the same number.
An "aged" account is therefore not automatically a proven account. It can equally be an account that has existed long enough to attract something. A newly registered account on an unencumbered number has no such history, and that is what the premium is for.
It is also the honest answer to the common worry that a purchased account will be restricted. The usual cause is not the purchase. It is a number that was already carrying something you cannot see and the seller may not know about either.
Where the region rule reverses
On most shelves here, accounts registered in the United States are the expensive ones, sometimes by a large multiple. On the Telegram shelf it is the other way round. US-registered stock sits at roughly two thirds of the median, while Russian-speaking region stock sits at nearly twice it, so the gap runs about three to one in the opposite direction to expectation.
The reason is the same as before. Telegram shows no country marker on a profile and has no recommendation feed that sorts by region, so the origin of the number does not change what an account can reach. What it changes is how hard the number was to obtain. A regional premium here is a supply premium, and it buys you nothing on the platform itself.
Which makes "US numbers travel well" the wrong reason to choose one, and "my audience is there" the right one.
The field that moves the price most is not in the title
Two labels split the shelf more sharply than age does, and both are usually buried in the listing rather than in the headline.
- How the account was registered. Manually registered stock sits about half again above the median. Automatically registered stock sits about a third below it. That is better than a two to one spread between two words most buyers never look for. If you can ask a seller one question, ask this one.
- Whether the sign-in origin was mixed. A mixed-address label sits at well under half the median. The group is small enough that the direction matters more than the figure, but the direction is unambiguous.
And two labels that move it barely at all, which is worth knowing because they are the ones listings shout about. A two-step password is advertised on nearly three fifths of the shelf and prices at the median. TDATA delivery is on four fifths of it and also prices at the median. Neither is a quality signal. Both are simply what this shelf is.
The two-step one is genuinely double-edged when you are buying. It means a password exists that somebody else chose and that you will have to replace.
Formats are not a menu
One correction that belongs to a sibling post but changes how you read a listing here. This page used to present four delivery formats as options to choose between. Of the live listings that name a format, around two thirds name TDATA and session and JSON together in one title, and not a single listing on the shelf sells a session file or a JSON on its own. The first day, and the thing most checklists get backwards
Nearly every guide to this shelf, this one included until now, closes by telling you to review the device list and remove old sessions as soon as you are in, then set a password. That order cannot be executed.
Telegram refuses to let a session log out any other session until it has been signed in for a full day, and returns an error saying so. Setting the two-step password has no such restriction. So on day one you can change the password and you cannot clear the devices, which is the reverse of the usual instruction. Note also that Telegram's official FAQ covers two-step verification and where the device list lives, but does not mention the 24-hour rule at all, so a guide citing the FAQ for both halves is citing it for something it does not say.
What no label can tell you
Every field discussed here describes the account at the moment it was listed. None of them describes the account next week. A listing that is unrestricted today can be restricted tomorrow, and no tag, tier or tenure claim changes that.
That is not a reason to distrust the shelf. It is a reason to read the labels for what they are: a description of a moment, priced by a market that has already decided which of them mean anything.
