Two-factor authentication codes

This section applies only to products whose specifications state that 2FA codes are included

• If two-factor authentication codes are included, select “Backup code” as the sign-in method when accessing the account for the first time.
• Such accounts are supplied with 10 backup codes. If necessary, you can generate new codes in the Google Account security settings.
• If the product specifications do not state that 2FA codes are included, the information in this section does not apply to that product.

Important

• Any Gmail account may require SMS verification when signing in or during use. This is considered normal. You can complete the verification using your own phone number or an SMS activation service.
